time to say bye bye

Viimiset kuukaudet on kulunu nii nopsaa ja paljon ehtiny jälleen tapahtuu. Mun elämään tuli paljon ihania uusia ihmisiä, joist en toivottavasti joudu ikinä luopumaan. Amerikka on mulle kyl tärkee ja ihana paikka, jossa tykkään olla. Ikävä on jo nyt.

Oon tosiaan ollu Suomessa nyt melkee 5 päivää, mut viimeiset 8 päivää oon kuitenki ollu tietenkin kipeänä. Mulla alko viikko siitten maanantaina kova kuume Amerikassa, joka vihdoin loppui eilen. Oli kyllä mitä huonoin tuuri, etä viimiset päivät olin kipee ja varsinki pitkä reissaaminen kuumessa oli kaikkea muuta kun ihanaa. Reissu meni onneks ihan hyvin, mut tietenki mut tuntien ongelmiakin oli. Ekat ongelmat oli Kansas Cityssä ku saavuttiin kentälle 38minuuttia ennen koneen lähtöä (tiedän tiedän, että kentällä pitää olla aikaisin), mutta onnekseni tekivät mulle check-innin vaikka kone lähti jo 20 minuutin päästä. Seuraava ongelma oli jo tiedossa ennen Chicagoa sillä olivat varanneet minulle aivan liian vähän vaihtoaikaa koneiden välille, joten missasin jatkolennon Lontoosee ja samalla jouduin reissaamaan loppuun asti yksin sen sijaan, että aluksi piti olla samoilla lennoilla Marian kanssa Chicagosta. Onneksi Lontoossa ehdittii kuitenki nopsaa näkee enneku Marian lento lähti kohti Suomea kun mä jouduin odottamaan vielä reilu kaksi tuntia oman koneen lähtöä.

Suomessa ollaan ja vihdoin kuume on mennyt myös ohi. Kaverit olkaa siis valmiita hengaamaan mun kanssa piakkoin kunnolla ja paljon.

Spring Break - Galveston, TX

Elämäni ensimmäinen ja varmaan viimeinen hiihtoloma Jenkkilässä on vietetty ja ihana se myös oli. Lähdettiin Marian kanssa ajamaan autollamme kohti Galvestonin saarta, joka sijaitsee Meksikonlahden rannalla Texasissa. Meidän suunnitelma oli päästä palmujen keskelle, lähelle vettä ja lämpimämpään paikkaan (Emporiassa on kyl ollu Suomen kesä, joten en valita näistä säistä), joten Galveston oli täydellinen ratkaisu. Matka oli ihanan rentouttava, MUTTA matkat kesti yhteen suuntaan 14 tuntia ja voitte vaan kuvitella kuinka mukavaa on istua mustassa autossa kovassa helteessä ilman toimivaa ilmastointia (esimerkiksi hotellille päästyämme oli pakko vaihtaa selästä aivan litimärkä huppari pois, joten voin sanoa että oikeasti oli aika tuskainen matka), mutta kun saavuttiin Galvestoniin ja nähtiin haluamamme maisemat, ei kuumuus haitannut enää yhtään.

I'm so glad that we decided to go there because it was exactly what we wanted. And me and Maria made it really well together without problems which is something totally new for us (okay I admit there was some small problems in Galveston but haha i don't tell about those).

Im now spending my spring break in Galveston, Texas but yesterday we wanted to visit in Houston and we liked it (Maria took this photo in Houston). We didn't spend much time there because we really like this island and don't wanna be much away from here. Today we just were outside and laid on the sun, this day was so perfect. Tomorrow is our last day here and at least 12 hours trip back home is waiting for us but luckily we have something fun to do before that but more about that later!

I hope everyone is having great spring break too!

Los Angeles - Hollywood - Beverly Hills - Santa Monica

L.A was maybe my favourite place because we also went to hollywood, santa monica and becerly hills and i felt so happy. Finally i was visiting here and i was able to see the hollywood-sign and many other places with my own eyes!!!! I still start to smile when i think about that. There were also beautiful landscapes everywhere AND THE OSCARS was at that time so we were lucky to see the red-carpet and how things are rolling there. It was so fun and crazyy! And universal studios were so amazing. Can't wait the next time to visit in L.A.

Hoover Dam - on our way to Las Vegas

From Flaggstaff we headed to Las Vegas which took about four hours to drive there. But just on the border of Nevada is this really famous Hoover Dam that we wanted to see, so we did a quick stop there. Whole trip to Las Vegas was really beautiful and warm, so all of us were repeating sentences like: "omg this is so awesome", "im so happy right now", "Finland is so boring" and etc.. being in US felt so right and good.

Breathtaking Grand Canyon

Our first stop was Flagstaff in Arizona, and I think i don't need to say why. Grand Canyon was so beautiful and incredible place. I have seen pictures before and I knew what to expect, but omg, it was more than i had imagined. There were many places where you got different views, and I recommend if you gonna go there someday you should go see at least two or three different views.

After Grand Canyon we went to eat and shop a little bit but we were quite tired after driving so we wanted to go sleep early. In the morning we start to drive to Las Vegas but on our way we wanted to stop and see famous Hoover Dam.

p.s. whole Arizona looked really beautiful

Let's go!!

Our trip started on tuesday two weeks ago but everything didn't go like we had planned. In the morning we had an exam buttt of course we slept over (you can only imagine how nice it was to go and see the professor and say "sorry we don't know what happened but we slept over" and see how he was thinking "yea right" ). However, we returned our homeworks and headed to other class. We needed to return some homeworks to that class also but of course i wasn't able to find my homeworks for that class from my computer ("This can't be true, not now"). Well luckily i found other one from weird location but other one is still lost. Well after this class it was time to go home and pick our stuff and leave, finally. We walked tired to our car (because we had done various homeworks last night because we had many deadlines during our trip) and drove back home. Everything looked to be fine untillllll we saw that we had a parking ticket on our window, GREAT! Haha, we really needed a break from school.

It was about 3:30pm when we started to drive from Emporia to Flagstaff, Arizona. Out first destination was to go and see Grand Canyon. It took 16 hours to drive there but it wasn't that bad because we had four drivers and we had waited this trip for so long.

On the road

Huhhuh mikä reissu on ollu ja on edelleen (Tuomas lähti friscosta ajelee chigagoon, joten ollaan marian kanssa nyt vaan kahdestaan). Ollaan nähty enemmän ku uskottiin ja kuvattu ihan liikaa, et ekaa kertaa elämässää kameran ottaminen kuvaamista varten tuntuu raskaalta (uskokaa tai älkää)! Ollaan kokoajan menty ja tehty, joten aikaa ei oo ollu ku korkeintaa deletoida ja vähän muokata kuvia. Nyt istutaan kuitenki noin kolme tunti junassa matkalla Seattleen Portlandista, joten koitan jos muutaman päivityksen sais kirjotettuu. Alla on kuva meidän reissusta.

We have had a fantastic journey which still continues from Portland to Seattle. We have seen so much awesome things and for the first time taking pictures feels heavy (believe it or not). We have done different kind of things all the time and we have way too many pictures from this roadtrip and it is hard to choose which ones i wanna show you. Like I said we are heading to Seattle by train so we have about three hours time so i try my best and update this blog a little bit. Here is picture were we have been.

Chicago

Over one week ago i was watching "The Vow" with my friends and we all loved it. I really like both of those main actors and there were also really beautiful scenes from Chicago. And just after one week i got the opportunity to see some of those places:

Our weekend in Chicago was sooo perfect! We all fell in love to Chicago, and oh my how much there was things were to take pictures from. It was a paradise for me and Maria. I definitely can recommend going to Chicago if you get a chance because for me at least it was a huge positive surprise.

P.S. Today we came to Flagstaff, Arizona and went to see Grand Canyon. It was so beautiful and we got a lot of great pictures
